Like the old song, this is the goal when you breed the
next generation of Pharaoh Hounds. You start with a bitch with
excellent health, good temperament, and high quality conformation.
Then, in the normal course of things, you begin the search for an
excellent sire - excellent health, good temperament, and
complementary conformation. This means you try to find a dog
that doesn't double up on the faults of the bitch and that strengthens
her strong points.
Our Current Plans - Late Fall/Early
Winter 2011
Rooney
will be a Daddy this year (or early next year)! We all dance to the tune of Mother
Nature, but we expect it will be around November when Rooney will be bred to a lovely young lady,
Group-Placing Ch. Bija Princess Phoebe Nefertari, JC - Tari to
her friends. We expect lovely, sweet babies with a definite streak
of court jester in them! I asked Tari's mom for a description to
put on this page. I was really tickled when she sent me TotallyAwesome Red
I ngenious
one! You can't argue with that. We Pharaoh folks definitely
love our dogs!
These two
complement each nicely and we expect typey, healthy puppies with well
balanced, sound, strong movement. In addition to a nice phenotypic
match, this loose line breeding (9.9% COI) brings some of my favorite
Pharaoh Hounds into genetic prominence - handsome Harry, practically
perfect Oberon, and the incomparable Khan, to name a few. I'm very
excited about this cross!
Send me an e-mail if you are interested in a puppy early in 2012 with a super temperament plus great potential for
showing, lure coursing, and performance.
